El Khorbat Oujdid és un dels Ksars més interessants de la regió no només des del punt de vista arquitectònic, sino també per ser un dels més ben conservats i habitats.

La sequera dels anys 90 va afectar greument l’agricultura, activitat principal dels seus habitants, i el ksar va veure reduïda la seva població. Aquest fenomen va agreujar una migració ja existent cap a les ciutats, deguda a una manca d’infraestructures i serveis comunitaris del ksar i a una malentesa modernitat que infravalora les tècniques de construcció amb terra en favor de la construcció amb formigó.

Khorbat Oujdid is one of the most interesting Ksars in the region not only from an architectural point of view, but also as one of the best preserved and inhabited.

The drought of the 90s seriously affected agriculture, the main activity of its inhabitants, and Ksar saw its population reduced. This phenomenon aggravated an already existing migration to the cities, due to a lack of infrastructure and community services of Ksar and a misunderstanding of modernity that underestimated the techniques of construction with earth in favor of the construction with concrete.
